blogging essentialsBlogging is an innovative way to social media. It is your voice to the world-all your thoughts, emotions and soul into a single webpage. It is your virtual representation- and to make that voice heard, you need to make it louder and bolder.

There are several reasons why people are into blogging. Those sensitive and artistic ones use blogs to be the outlet of their inner most passions and emotions. It is like an electronic journal, a diary that tracks the everyday life of its author, may it be good or bad. The pages of these electric journals are endless and very versatile.

On the other hand, there are those who use their own blog to share information to the general public. They are those who patiently gather information, write about it, and then share it to the world. They would blog anything – from crystal gazing to the mysteries of the ancient pyramids. They make it a point to update these blogs often, for these kinds of blogs are often dedicated to inform its readers. It’s just like twitter, where the author can type-in new information about their favorite hobby, or a celebrity couple just to share it with his fellow enthusiast.

There are also those who blog to earn a living. They have created links to other fellow bloggers or sites that are also tuned-in with the same topic. These links often has incentives from advertisers or big .com companies that are accumulated and can be withdrawn once it reached a certain amount. Many of these sites, however, are just echoes of the original site of it’s’ employer. There are also those who earn in blogging by offering services, knowledge or skill, for a price.

Whatever reasons they maybe, creating a blog and making it “heard”, needs three essential element: one is content, two is audience and three, is creativity. A blog would not survive if one of which is missing.

1. Content

Content always need to be present, for without it, there would be no blog. It could be about anything- your favorite food, your travels, or even movies and television programs. That is the beauty of blogging, you could write anything you wanted to and share it with everybody. Content is also the life of a blog. Writing articles for your blog is one way of getting content. Another is making links and posting videos in your blog. Your blog should always have a fresh article or link to keep it updated. Nobody would want to visit a blog that has nothing on it at all.

2. Audience

Audience can refer to your friends, followers or just anybody who visits your blog. It is important to keep them coming back, and if possible, interact with them.  As I said, blogging is like a voice, and your audiences’ reactions are their voice answering you back. You can gain followers by giving and posting your link to any social media platform you prefer. The popularity of your blog depends upon your audience, and also its content. Now, there is a  blog group chat that allows your followers to talk to each other and express their opinions. These are more effective methods of interactions, rather than leaving comments. This blog group chat gives the blogger power to create a new platform for its followers or readers. Here, you can express your thoughts or comments, and someone within the group can answer you back. The idea of embedding a chatroom within your blog is simply brilliant. Your blog does not only give out information, it is also now, a room for meeting new friends.

3. Creativity

And lastly, your blog needs creativity to stand out from other blogs. It needs to be different, to be on top of other existing blogs in the internet. The layout of your blog- its colors and fonts can make a difference to your page. Remember that your blog is a reflection of yourself. Making it lively and more interesting gets you back an audience.

Starting a blog is easy. It is maintaining the blog that is difficult, but knowing the basic elements of a blog helps you gain knowledge on what to do.
