You do not have permission to preview draftsHave you encountered this error when you want to preview your WordPress blog post? This usually happens when WordPress cannot recognize you when you had logged in and you do not have the access rights when previewing a certain post. But of course, you are obviously logged in when you see this error. So there is some other issues that needs to be fixed to preview your blog post before making it live.

One common issue is the conflict with WordPress Plugins. If you are not allowed to preview a post, there may be something wrong with your WordPress configuration. What do you need to do when this error occurs?

Basically, you just need to check on these three things:

Evaluate the address settings. You might be a newbie in WordPress or had a current update on the installation. If so, you need to check your URL settings. Click on the Settings Tab and go to General. Your WordPress address and Site Address URL’s should have identical domain and subdomain. If there is a slight difference, it will be a subfolder is included in your WordPress Address. Other than that can result in an error.

Domains should always be the same. This should be a strict rule. If you want viewers to see your domain, be sure to reflect both domain and subdomain as one and the same. If you want to include a folder for your files, place it under the WordPress Address. Always double check to make sure that it will be error-free.

Possibility of broken links. You may or may not do this. Some blog posts have links to the content anywhere. This can also point to the other domain name and may cause potential error. Try checking the links if they work accordingly. If not, it will be necessary for you to do it again, editing the post and reinserting the links. This is only possible for your links, and not the one WordPress automatically provides.

If these things do not work for you – still getting error “You do not have permission to preview drafts,” and the problems still persist, there may be a difficulty in your WordPress Plugins. You can try to disable any Plugins that had been installed recently because an incorrect configuration is likely to occur. Therefore, check and assess thoroughly if you had configured the plugins appropriately.
