Windows 8.1 release October 18 2013The latest Windows 8.1 will be released on October 18, 2013. But if you are already running your personal computer or desktop into Windows 8, you will have an automatic upgrade to Window 8 on October 17, 2013.

This announcement can be seen now at the Microsoft Store site.

I’m not sure if the automatic upgrade will be only available on a single day only on October 17, but what if my Internet connection is not at its best that day. Let’s see on coming days if there will be new announcements. I am a Windows 8 user and I am loving the fluid interface so far.

Windows 8.1 is available for pre-order now – ideally for Windows 7 users to have your files easily to transfer. Because Windows 8.1 is not intended for installation on computers  running on Windows XP or Windows Vista, you may also qualify for upgrade to Windows 8.1 if you purchase Windows 8 for the same price $ 119.99. The pre-order price of Windows 8.1 is also $119.99.

The new Windows 8.1 allows you watch movies or play games with Xbox, Skype with friends, access files wherever with SkyDrive, or discover your next favorite app in the Windows Store. The launch of Windows 8 was a huge innovation of Microsoft, and to fix very little inconsistencies, now the Windows 8.1 is to be released.
