Steve Jobs: No one wants to die…

iPod Touch

I don’t often browse or check in a store or a brochure of any Apple products. But when I had my first Apple product, an iPod Touch, I think twice now. I might like a Macbook Pro, or an iPhone next time.

I always have this impression that an Apple product is for elite and rich. Not until I saw a Saudi bus driver using an iPhone in a busy street in Riyadh. There are a lot of maybes how he affords to buy one, but I’m not concern with that. Why I don’t have one? Well, for practical reasons, and that I only buy gadgets on as needed basis.

Well, going through. Now that Steve Job’s death is all over the news and everyone’s blogging about it. I chance up this speech he made in Stanford University on 2009. He was a great inspiration to people earning online international business degrees and mankind in general.

No one wants to die. Even people who want to go to heaven don’t want to die to get there. And yet, death is a destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it. And that is as it should be, because death is very likely the single best invention of life. It’s life’s change agent. It clears out the old to make way for the new. – Steve Jobs
